The personal story of how I became what I have became of today by sharing different accomplishments thought my journey so far and sharing how I got there and what I used as motivation to get there.
Started my freshman year of school in 2021. I decided to go out and go run cross country for my high school after running my 7th and 8th year. Back when I played baseball when I was younger my coach told me straight to my face I will never be able to run so decided I want to do something about that and strive to be one of the top member on the team (varsity spot). First day of summer running starts, so I decided to go run with the varsity team members. A few days ago I went running with, and I got crap every day but ignored it because I have a goal I want to accomplish. Throughout the summer, I keep getting faster, moving up and down from running with the varsity guys to running with the top JV guys on the team. The season started in the middle of august when I went back to school, and we had our first race. I was so happy I found out I would be running varsity during that race. I dropped a 5k time of 19:19. Furthermore, I was so proud of myself and what I have done. The next few races go by, and I realize I can't break sub 20 minutes again and realize I have to get out of my own head. This was one of very challenging parts of my season because I wanted to be better, but I realized I have to put the hard work in to become better, so I humbled down and put myself towards the head work and final started breaking 19:00 min on multiple equations a few more weeks go bye, and now we are in middle of October where I would soon realize my season would be over. I ran one of my best races with a time of 18:26 for 5k with 2 dye, later came across with a knee injury where I caused ligament tendon and muscle damage to my knee relating to a nerve injury. This also happened 3 days before some of the biggest races of the season. I was divested for the first week, not knowing what or how I could continue what I love, but I still had that spark in me. I still showed up to the meets and the orates to sport my time. Not only that, but I also put my head down and jumped straight ahead into the recovery path to make myself better. Thought this injury I have learned a lot and how mainly stayed motivated was through motivation itself but through discipline and putting my head down and working to what I wanted to get.n later when the session concluded we had a banquet at this I was not excepting a letter due to my injury, but I earned my varsity letter for contributing to the team but also not giving up when the team and when I needed myself at most that's my story about erasing my varsity letter in cross-country.
